We changed our name to make it easier for customers and partners to identify us as part of the Hamamatsu Photonics Group, a globally recognized photonics brand.
Is This Just a New Name and Logo, or Does It Reflect a Bigger Change in the Company?
Only our name and logo have changed. Everything else stays the same – including ownership, people, products, and commitments.
During the transition, you will see both Hamamatsu and NKT Photonics on materials. Both names are valid and traceable and meet the same trusted standards.
Does the Legal Entity Change?

Yes. Our email addresses and website are being updated to reflect our new name. We are moving from @nktphotonics.com to www.lf.hamamatsu.com – existing email addresses and links will continue to work during the transition period.
